ANCIENT CORINTH

Ancient Corinth became famous because of its particularly fertile land. It expanded into the Mediterranean and created colonies with an important role and contribution in the history of the ancient Mediterranean world. It is known to Christians from the 1st and 2nd letters to the Corinthians of the Apostle Paul

ACROCORINTH

Acrocorinth is one of the most impressive fortresses in Greece which was fortified for the first time in the 7th-6th century BC. In ancient times the god Apollo to whom the area belonged gave it as a gift to Aphrodite and a sanctuary was built there in her honor by Medea where beautiful maidens looked after the visitors.
