Acrocorinth is one of the most impressive fortresses in Greece which was fortified for the first time in the 7th-6th century BC. In ancient times the god Apollo to whom the area belonged gave it as a gift to Aphrodite and a sanctuary was built there in her honor by Medea where beautiful maidens looked after the visitors.
Nemea is know from history for the mythological vicious monster, the Lion of Nemea that was killed by Hercules, in modern history is well known for the great wineries, the excellent wine and for the production of the famous Nemea raisin, a very small and tasty black grape. You can taste the unforgettable Nemea’s wine.
